What does being chief executive require?
Chief executive acts as the head of this large "corporation" as the United States is referred to as. The president must more or less act as the CEO of the United States. He must appoint around 2,000 federal officials. The president may also issue executive orders in cases of an emergency. An executive order is a rule or regulation that has the same effect as a law set in place by congress. I believe that president Obama is fufilling his role as Chief Executive by appointing Howard Schmidt to be the Cyber Security Chief. This is showing Obama enforcing this role because he is appointing officials to help run the Executive Branch.
