What does being chief legislator require?
Chief Legislator sets policies and agendas for congress. May propose legislation, veto bills, also pressure congress to lean towards the answer he is wanting. The president may also call congress into a special session. President Obama is fufilling his role as Chief Legislator because he is working on conviencing congress to pass the new health care bill. Chief Legislator has the right to sway congress to pass new laws and or bills that he feels are necessary to better our country. This bill has been set aside for many years and Obama is stepping in to try and get congress to pass it.
